AI Visibility Checker: Are You Being Used as a Source?

This tool helps you understand whether AI assistants already surface, paraphrase, or cite your brand. It's an early signal of AEO success: are you part of the answer?

What this tool does

AI Visibility Checker helps you answer one question: “Does AI already think I’m an authority?”

You enter branded terms or key topics. The tool checks for signals that AI systems are surfacing (or approximating) your content in answers.

Think of it as “brand visibility in AI answers,” not traditional keyword rank tracking.

When you should use it

  • Leadership asks: “Are we in Perplexity / AI Overviews / assistants yet?”
  • You just pushed major schema / entity work live and want to sanity check impact.
  • You’re preparing a readiness review and need to benchmark AI visibility now vs later.

Helpful for before/after screenshots in performance decks.

Why this matters for AEO

Answer engines are citation machines. If you’re not appearing (or if you’re being misquoted), that’s not just an SEO problem — that’s a trust and revenue problem.

Monitoring this gives you:

  • Evidence of topical authority in AI ecosystems.
  • Early warning if competitors are “owning” your questions.
  • Signals to prioritise which topics need structured answers, schema, and internal linking work.

AI Visibility Checker FAQs

Does this guarantee AI is using my content?

No. It’s directional. You’re seeing signs of exposure and interpretation, not full retrieval logs. But it’s usually enough to brief stakeholders.

Why can’t I just use Google Search Console?

GSC shows classic web impressions. It does not tell you if AI assistants, overviews, or answer engines are paraphrasing you in-line without a click.

Is “visibility” the same as “attribution”?

No. You can be visible (your ideas show up) without being credited. Proper AEO work tries to win both visibility and citation.
